Welcome to Flying Fish!
Born on August 28, 2024 (my mother's birthday), Flying Fish is a digital publication that accepts and publishes haiku, senryu, tanka, kyoka, and gembun. Works will be considered for publication in the January and July issues of Flying Fish.

Flying Fish requests you to carefully read the submission guidelines and submission procedure to submit your work successfully.
Please note: Flying Fish does not send rejection letters. An announcement will always go out on the website about the completion of selections for each issue.
You will receive the letter of acceptance if and when your work has been selected for publication. If you do not hear back from Flying Fish by June 15 (for issue 4) and December 15 (for issue 5), your work will be free for submissions to other publications.
Please do not send work outside of the submission period. Please check the posts on this website for details on the opening and closing of the relevant submission period.
Please note: Flying Fish Haiku Journal will always be a no-fee, no-pay market.
